New Finds!

Hello blogging friends! This week has been great so far. I have so much time on my hands without my kiddos around. They're staying with the Grandparents this week. I almost don't know what to do with myself. I decided to venture out today. My DH had an afternoon Dr. appt. and I met him for lunch. I started my little trip out to one of my favorite antique places where the owner told me about a walnut jelly cupboard she got that I would just love. Then we got to talking about my recent purchases and my little vintage stove. She told me about third market Sunday a big antique show in Bloomington IL. If you're lucky enough to live closer than I do I hear it's well worth the trip.

Here's the list of what I purchased:

2 Large White Pitchers (Target)

1 condiment server (Old Time Pottery)

It says God Bless America, Land that I love, and From Sea to Shining Sea. I think these would be great for a 4th of July party.

2 Cake Stands (large, small, Base Exchange, Martha Stewart)

Farmfresh strawberry rhubarb candle (Jo Ann's)

They had some very cute prim/country decorations 1/2 off at Jo Ann's ladies. I was trying to be good so I didn't get anything else. They are also getting out the Fall stuff. (yippee)

Here is what I did with one of my pitchers, now I just need to find some flowers for them. Sorry these are so dark, I try to capture the natural light when I can.

I can see these with geraniums in them for Summer, sunflowers next, mums in the Fall, and poinsettas in the Winter. I think they really add something wonderful to a home since it's so neutral and can be easily adapted for the holidays. I got this wonderful idea from Aunt Ruthie's wonderful kitchen. I was lucky enough to find the cake plates yesterday to go along with my new white theme and can already see some home baked pies on top of them. I guess white is the new black, LOL!
Well, I'm off to go pack for Disney World, get my haircut, and bake some goodies for my family who will be coming in for today. My inlaws are housesitting and pet sitting for us while we're gone. I can't wait to hug and kiss my kids. I'm really missing them now.
Have a great day!
Carey
