Our 4th and the house hunt continues...

We spent a wonderful weekend with our family in IN. It was really nice. We grilled out in the rain so I snapped some photos of that. I got to see my wonderful Aunt Princess. Yep, that is her real name. She is 89 years young and still beautiful. We didn't go to the fireworks but had our own little show in the rain. The kids didn't remember doing sparklers before. I guess they were little and don't remember. At first they were really scared but they came around.

We did not like the house. We looked at 2 this time. One house was almost perfect had it been located in a different spot. You could see and hear the highway. We live on a state highway now and worry about the kids so that was a definite no. The other house just didn't inspire me at all. As you know I love to cook so a large kitchen is something I'm looking for and that just wasn't it. I thought it was a little small. The barns were made for horses which we don't have and they would need to be replaced. My DH wants a workshop where he can work on cars and have room to store lawnmower, bike etc. He would have to completely burn them down and get rid of them altogether. It's hard not to get discouraged but we still have some time so I'm trying to keep my chin up.

Hope your 4th was wonderful, we all remembered those her serve in our blessings! What a joy to live in this great country.

  1. Sounds like you had a fun 4th in spite of the rain. Looks like the kids were enjoying themselves too.
Carey don't give up on your house hunt. You will find the perfect one in time. I know it is discouraging right now but it will happen!

  3. Oh Aunt Princess is a gem! I hope I look half as good when I am her age. What a treasure to have her in your fold!

I was so happy to see someone else uses crows and sunflowers in the transition time. I too keep them up until fall.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
