Back to School for my Kids!

Boy are they getting big!!! I can't believe they went back today.   Summer has flown by and they're getting bigger all the time.  They were sure excited.  We met the teachers last night.  They took in all their stuff.  The school looked great, and the hustle and bustle was "in the air".

Notice the all important coordinating outfit, very important of a 5th grade girl!

Look, new backpacks...

Shh...I'm happy to be getting a little quiet time after the bus in the morning again.

Have a great day!

  1. The kids look eager to learn! Hope they have a wonderful first day back at school. Enjoy the quiet time for as long as you can Carey!

  2. Seeing your beautiful children at these ages reminds me of my two! Brought tears to my eyes seeing them smile and showing off their first day outfits just as mine did to many years ago. Cherish every moment-they will be grown and gone all to quickly.
    Blessings to you and yours~

  3. LOL.. I like the last sentence.. and I couldn't agree more. I miss my little buggers, but I SO NEED a little peace and quiet. It's so nice to know I'm not alone with that feeling. My big guy started Mon. & My Girl starts tomorrow. Back to a routine is just fine with me. Hope your kiddo's had a great first day!

  4. Thanks for coming to my blog!! Happy to know you wore a dress that day (I am not "dresses only" -- just love to wear them in the summer time when it is easy to do so -- we get 30-below winters here). Excited to find another retired mil wife. We were visiting our son who is now in the A.F. (my husband is retired A.F.), stationed in Monterey. We stayed in billeting all the way accross the country and at Monterey (when we could get in, that is) and had a blast! Blessings!

  5. It looks like the kiddo's are excited about going back to school and they are both great looking kids.
I hope you enjoy some quite time, I think alot of us hands on Mother's enjoy a few hours of peace!

  6. They are both adorable. Hope you enjoyed your peace and quiet ;)
